Konrad Knoblauch GmbH was founded in 1909 by Fidel Knoblauch in Efrizweiler, a small village in the south of Germany only a few kilometres away from the present headquarters. Since the death of Konrad Knoblauch in December 2005, the grandson of the founder, Rita Knoblauch and Jürgen Zahn jointly run the family business. Today the company has around 140 employees in Markdorf near the Lake of Constance.

Konrad Knoblauch GmbH is a supplier of high-quality shop fixtures. Its portfolio ranges from design and planning, production and installation up to general contractor. Customer specified design and supply is the primary goal of the company. In addition, the shop sector under the label "Knoblauch Edition" offers unusual and high-quality furniture and accessories in limited editions for private customers.
